Our
aim is to:
- promote the
study of Africa as a discipline of instruction, not only
at Montclair State University, but also in the United
States
- promote
interest in, and discussion of, Africa among the
students, faculty and staff of Montclair State
University
- promote an
understanding of Africa beyond the usual stereotypes
- promote a
socio-cultural dialogue between Africa and the West
- promote
research and discussion on all aspects of Africa
(history, culture, economy, contributions to world
civilization, etc.)
- promote a
professional and intellectual exchange of ideas among
Africanist scholars locally and worldwide
