OUTLINE 1

Your outline should include:

A) introduction

This paragraph should specify a theme or issue you would like to explore in the text(s) you have chosen.

B) textual evidence

Offer a list of (at least) 8 direct quotations. Include the page numbers.

Your direct quotations must be relevant to your topic. You should choose moments that touch your imagination (rich imagery, an interesting metaphor, a surprising word). Such language will allow you to "play" with the literature and to arrive at your own creative, interesting insights.

C) a sample paragraph

Write a sample paragraph in which you discuss at least one of your direct quotations.
